DarkSide Presents: Dream Smashers Cover
Sixteen-year-old Autumn has spent her entire life worrying about others. Her ailing grandparents, her meth addicted mother, and a best friend who is always in trouble. She's attempted to worry less, to be carefree, without success.
Enter Evan, whose radiant attitude is an Autumn magnet. With Evan at her side, Autumn is able to let some of her worries go as they trudge through life's difficulties and fall for each other in the process.
Dream Smashers is about a girl who no longer wants to care and a boy who cares enough for the both of them. It's a love story, but mostly, it's a story about rising above the dream smashers of the world.

DarkSide Welcomes New Author Angela Carlie!
We’re on a roll when it comes to adding fabulous authors to our roster.
DarkSide Publishing’s newest author, Angela Carlie, will be releasing her young adult novel, Dream Smashers, in April, 2011, and a middle grade novel, Land of Corn Chips, this summer.
Angela’s writing went from being a hobby practiced when time allowed, into a passion driving her every day routine in 2008. Her work is often lined with dark elements and thought provoking situations that don’t necessarily punch readers in the face, but seep into their hearts. You’ll find a deeper meaning to every story.
Dream Smashers, a coming of age story with an edge, is her debut novel. She’s a member of Willamette Writers and the North Bank Workshop. She lives with her hubby and twelve-year-old son in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
